This is to inform interested and qualified candidates pursuing a career in nursing or midwifery that application for Kebbi College of Nursing Sciences Basic Midwifery and Post-Basic Nursing programs is open.

The Kebbi State College of Nursing Sciences (KBCONS) Basic Midwifery Admission Form for the 2024/2025 academic session is out. All application must be done via the KBCONS Basic Midwifery Admission portal www.kbcons.edu.ng.

KBCONS Basic Midwifery and Post Basic Nursing Program Duration

Post-Basic Nursing Program:

The Post-Basic Nursing programs last 18 months, which is equivalent to 3 academic semesters. The program is designed for registered midwives who want to become registered nurses.

Qualified applicants who wish to apply must have an active practicing license issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Basic Midwifery Program:

The Basic Midwifery program lasts for a period of 3-years (or 6 academic semesters), approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). This program is designed to train midwives who are skilled and capable of working in any community.

The main goal is to improve the health of mothers and help reduce complications that can occur during pregnancy and childbirth.

General Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Basic midwifery and Post-Basic Nursing Program, candidates must:

1. Applicants for the program must be at least 17 years of age or older.

2. Possess five (5) O’level credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in no more than two sittings.

3. For post-basic nursing, the candidate must already be a registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

4. Applicants for Post-Basic Nursing need to have a valid practicing license and at least two years of working experience as a Midwife.

KBCONS Basic Midwifery Admission Form Application Process

To apply for the KBCONS Basic Midwifery and Post-Basic Nursing program applicants, need to:

Visit the KBCONS application portal at to obtain the application PIN.

Proceed to make a non-refundable fee payment of N10,500 (for Post-Basic Nursing) or N6,500 (for Basic Midwifery) into the Kebbi State Treasury Single Account (TSA).

Note: Only bank payments are accepted. Cash payments are not allowed.

After payment obtain the pin and go to the KBCONS Official Website to complete the online application form on the portal and submit it.

KBCONS Basic Midwifery Admission Form Application Deadlines

Applicants should take note of the following dates:

Sales of forms begins from Monday 14th October 2024 to Sunday 24th November 2024.

All forms must be submitted before the application deadline (Sunday, 24th November 2024).

CBT Exam for Basic Midwifery Starts on 7th December 2024 while the Post-Basic Nursing form starts from 25th to 30th November 2024.

Interview Sessions are scheduled to take place from 9th to 14th December 2024.
